It's finally the end of orientation week of Minggu Haluan Siswa 2016 for UTHM. The students who are study in mechanical courses ended it yesterday but the others are earlier ended it on last Saturday. So, I have started attend classes on Sunday for
English For Higher Education and
Creativity And Innovation.
English For Higher Education is quite similar to Academic English but not the same as I informed by the lecturer, Mr. Norazmi Bin Danuri. We are explained on how the syllabus of this subject is going through for this semester. We are advised to watch a lot of English movies and listen carefully to each dialogue of the characters without assist of subtitle. To get the notes, we can obtain it from Mr. Norazmi's facebook. For further information of this subject, the representative have to create a group named EHE S63 20162017 in facebook.
The next subject is
Creativity And Innovation. This subject is about the real meaning for creative and innovative. Everyone can be creative to think and imagine on something. Though, it is different to make it true which is innovative. The first task is to get the understanding. We are asked to watch a video about old stuff and pick at least a thing for us to promote it. The lecturer divide us into several groups to filming the promotion video.
On Monday, I attended two classes for
Discrete Structures or the common name, Discrete Mathematics. The first class is about theory and the second class is about tutorial. We are taught about proposition statement and how to link them by conjunction and disjunction. Proposition is a statement which has only True or False value. Conjunction is a relation of AND (
∧) while disjunction is a relation of OR (
∨). In theory class, we are given an individual task of summary for each chapter and have to submit it at the end of chapter. In tutorial class, we are to make 3 truth table, 4 truth table, and 5 truth table then link them by conjunction and disjunction. In addition, we have to make 10 truth table by Microsoft Excel and have to submit along with the first chapter summary.
